The animated version of the Transformers has been all that there was to hold us over, aside from the various cartoons. The Headmasters never really caught my fancy, and Beast Machines were ok, but I always liked the first animated series best, with the movie as the penultimate.

The newest movie easily tops the old, animated one.

Well, I saw this movie in the theatre months ago, and it's come out on DVD.

This movie is a great Canadian movie, in that it hits every sore spot that exists between English and French Canadians. Every stereotype you can think of, French, English and generally Canadian, is played up in this movie, done in a sly, distinctly Canadian way.

I have enjoyed the films that Jason Statham has starred in, and Crank is no exception.

The basic premise is: Hero (well, perhaps anti-hero) gets poisoned, there's no known cure, and that to stay alive, he has to keep the adrenaline pumping.

Well, this is the last of Jet Li's wushu films, and that alone merits watching it I do believe.

But aside from that tidbit of trivia, this movie was freaking cool!

Wow. This was a fun movie to watch.

It is extremely hard to talk about it without giving away some major plot twists.

Suffice it to say that they danced around the politicalness of the second movie, and stuck with the action and adventure. This movie isn't as good than the first, but it is head and shoulders above the second. They are developing ( Read more... )

Silent Hill was just the kind of horror film that I like, and those sorts of horror films are very rare these days.
